Jerri Fuller Dickseski was appointed to the Board of Visitors on July 1, 2017 by Governor Terry McAuliffe and was reappointed to second four-year term on July 1, 2021 by Governor Ralph Northam. She currently serves on the Board's Academic & Research Advancement, Athletics, Executive, and University Advancement Committees, and as chair of the Audit & Compliance and Governance Committees.
Until her retirement in September 2021, Dickseski was executive vice president of communications for Huntington Ingalls Industries, America's largest military shipbuilding company and a provider of professional services to partners in government and industry. Named to this position in 2011, she was responsible for the company's communications strategy and execution, encompassing all external communications, media relations, advertising, executive communications, enterprise employee communications, crisis communications, corporate special events, Web and social media, and branding/corporate image. Prior to this position she served as sector vice president of communications for Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding. Dickseski joined Newport News Shipbuilding in 1991 as editor for an internal publication. Since then, she has several positions of increasing responsibility in both internal and external communications. In 1999, she was promoted to director of communications for Newport News Shipbuilding, where she led communications activities and served as chief spokesperson.
Dickseski earned bachelor's and master's degrees in English from 麻豆国产AV. She serves on the board of directors for the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula and the board of trustees for the 麻豆国产AV Educational Foundation. She is also a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
Dickseski resides in Hampton, Virginia.
