Employees are being recognized for their demonstration of the University鈥檚 core values. In the inaugural year, cabinet members will nominate employees and a selection committee will select a winner. The awards include an engraved plaque presented to the winners at the Monarch Milestones: A Celebration of Service and Values Luncheon - Classified Employees and Dinner - Faculty and Administrators on April 10, 2025.

Accessibility. The award recipient has demonstrated their ability to nurture an accessible culture that grants educational, social, professional, and scholarly opportunities for all members of our diverse community.
Collaboration. The award recipient has demonstrated their ability to foster a sense of collaboration through synergistic approaches and shared governance.
Excellence. The award recipient has demonstrated their ability to pursue excellence through student success and faculty and staff achievements.
Global Engagement. The award recipient has demonstrated their ability to promote global engagement through intercultural understanding, shared knowledge, and innovative approaches to advancing international collaborations and stewardship.
Inclusion. The award recipient has demonstrated their ability to commit to building an inclusive community that encourages empathy, mutual understanding, and the recognition of differences. (There is currently a Diversity Champion Award)
Innovation. The award recipient has demonstrated their ability to leverage our strengths to cultivate and educate the next generation of innovators by solving today鈥檚 regional and global demands and addressing tomorrow鈥檚 challenges.
Respect. The award recipient has demonstrated their ability to nurture a climate of care, concern, civility, and respect for self, others, the institution, and our society.
